Just wanted to share...
I hope that you all have had a really great day. Mine was long, but fun and productive. :-) I wanted to share a couple of things with you about my day. ;-)
First, this list was given to me today. I REALLY like it, and thought that I would share it with you. It is called "The 21 Rules of This House", and is from the book by the same name, written by Gregg and Josh Harris.
The 21 Rules of This House
In This House:
1. We obey our Lord Jesus Christ.
2. We love, honor and pray for one another.
3. We tell the truth.
4. We consider one another’s interests ahead of our own.
5. We speak quietly and respectfully with one another.
6. We do not hurt one another with unkind words or deeds.
7. When someone needs correction, we correct him in love.
8. When someone is sorry, we forgive him.
9. When someone is sad, we comfort him.
10. When someone is happy, we rejoice with him.
11. When we have something nice to share, we share it.
12. When we have work to do, we do it without complaining.
13. We take good care of everything God has given us.
14. We do not create unnecessary work for others.
15. When we open something, we close it.
16. When we turn something on, we turn it off.
17. When we take something out, we put it away.
18. When we make a mess, we clean it up.
19. When we do not know what to do, we ask.
20. When we go out, we act just as if we were in this house.
21. When we disobey or forget any of The 21 Rules of This House, we accept the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

I also went to a flower garden today just to walk around and take some pictures. By some I mean about 150. (Thank God for digital photography) ;-) As we all know we can take about 100 pictures, and one or two will come out really well. I also thank God for photoshop. Because of it I am able to share these with you. :-) Enjoy.
I hope you liked them. ;-)
Love,
Wendy Darling

Beautiful photos!
Thank you, Lori ;-) It was so beautiful on Tuesday, and the fragrance of the different roses mixed together was fantastic. :-)
Great rules.
Pretty flowers!
Hi Wendy,
I read your comment over at It Could Have Been Worse, about sharing your testimony.
I am feeling like it would be kinda nice to have a testimony carnival so we could all link to each other. The stories about what God has done in our lives could really encourage each other. What do you think?
I think that would be a really good idea Didilyn. ;-)
Wendy,
Thanks for the comment on my "big question". I agree with everything you say. The guilty feelings mainly stem from the fact that this now 18 year old - who has moved to Florida to be with a girl he met online - is the third child of my SIL. (She has trouble taking care of the children she brings into the world.) We took in two of her children: one at 13, one at 16. Other family members helped out the first at varying times in her childhood and young adulthood. I was talking with my other SIL who feels terrible that no one stepped up to help this third child and now he has run off "looking for love in all the wrong places." *sigh* I don't know if we should have done more or not. We already had his older brother living with us through part of his childhood. We only have 3 bedrooms and 2 children of our own. I guess you never really know.
Sorry about the long irrelevant comment. Thanks for you input.
