I think we are ready... ;-)

We finished up our shopping yesterday. All that we had left to buy were stocking stuffers and the food for Thursday.

A LOT OF FOOD.

We don't do a big dinner or anything. We save that for Thanksgiving. For Christmas we just do "party" food, and we snack All. Day. Long. It's very relaxing. We also just play games, watch movies...whatever. Again, it's relaxing. ;-)

Here is our "menu" for the day:
Breakfast:

Pigs in a blanket
Fresh Fruit
Juice/Milk/Coffee

Lunch/Snacks

Stuffed Mushrooms
Sausage Balls
Cheese Dip
Spinach Dip
Bean Dip
Finger Sandwiches (Turkey, Beef or Chicken)
Cheese and Crackers
Veggie Tray
Seasoned Crackers
Cherry Salad

Supper:
Chicken Fried Steak
Mashed Potatoes
Veggie

That's pretty much it. We have to have so much, because not everyone likes the same thing, so we have to make sure everyone is represented. ;-) I cook all I can in advance, and then just reheat around lunch time. :-) Like I said, we really try to make everything with as little trouble as possible, VERY little clean up, and just have a day of FUN! ;-)

So, what's your menu for Christmas Day?

Love,
Wendy Darling

That sounds yummy.

We have Christmas at our house. If I can come up for air sometime this week, I may have to post about it. We have a big breakfast with my favorite egg casserole and all the trimmings. Then we eat an enormous lunch at about 2 with turkey and something for everyone. Since we number about 20, well, you can imagine the spread. It's my favorite day of the year.

Ya know... I don't know the menu this year. I should probably find out to see what I need to bring.

Yours sounds yummy!
